The change was also shown in the blood pressure measurement, which was increased by 5 points after drinking an energy drink and by just under one point after having drunk a caffeinated drink. The blood pressure remained elevated for six hours.

”We need a larger, more comprehensive study”, researchers say. This study is a warning that it is not good to overdo the consumption of energy drinks. The study was published in the Journal of the American Heart Association.
